Conditions couldn’t have been better at the challenging Legends Golf Club in Temecula California. The players found themselves playing in a cool 78 degrees with very little wind which is unusual for the Legends Golf Club.
Excitement and nerves were in the air as the players took to the first tee box. But the players were not going to allow that get to them as they stripe their drives down the middle of the fairway setting up the perfect approach shots into the green.
Hole 3 an uphill challenging Par 3 that’s protected by a deep bunker in front of the flag stick, Bruce pulled out his fairway metal with such confidence and sticking his shot 3 feet from the hole!!! (See picture below). Tapping in birdie with a net score of 1.
Although Bruce may have ran away with the title, Tom Wood wasn’t going to make the stroll down the 18th fairway easy on Bruce. After crushing a drive on the Par 5 18th , Tom was sitting 215 yards away contemplating if he should go for it or not. After hearing him say “ What do I have to lose?” he grabs his 5 wood and rips a high draw over the water protecting the green to 8 feet and sinking his Eagle 3 putt. Capping off an excellent day on the links at The Legends Golf Club
